Welcome! I am so honored you have taken the time to check out my page. Please feel free to explore and contact me with any questions you may have.

Education and Training

Doctoral degree:I graduated with my PhD in clinical psychology from the APA-accredited clinical psychology program at the University of North Texas.

Training:I have trained at institutions such as the University of Minnesota (postdoctoral fellowship), the renowned Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut (APA-accredited clinical internship), and the Yale School of Medicine. Through these training institutions, I have received specialized training in the psychotherapy of trauma, severe anxiety and depression, relationship issues, identify and self-esteem problems, personality disorders, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. I also have significant expertise in psychological testing related to ADHD and personality testing.

Speciality certifications

I am a board-certified psychologist (ABPP), with speciality board certification in Group Psychology. Why does Board Certification matter? Only 5% of psychologists nationwide are board-certified. Having board-certification (ABPP) ensures the public and the professional psychology community that the specialist has the education and training background, advanced competencies benchmarks (e.g., the ability to use scientifically-supported methods used to both assess and treat mental health symptoms), and ethical/legal foundations required to pass an individualized, peer-reviewed examination.

Additionally, I am a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP), a designation given out by the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) to denote practitioners who have met a high level of training and supervision standards related to group therapy.

Who do I specialize in working with?

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced attachment traumas (please see my “individual therapy” page to learn more), trauma in general, and those with struggle with identity issues and have problems with their relationships at both home (e.g., marriages) and work (colleagues, bosses, etc). Not sure if any of this fits you?

Do you….

  • struggle to let go of past trauma?

  • feel insecure and unsure of yourself?

  • find you are highly critical of yourself?

  • feel depressed and anxious much of the time

  • find yourself wanting to have better relationships?

  • feel lonely and isolated?

  • find yourself sabotaging relationships?

  • struggle to feel your feelings and be vulnerable with others?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then we might be a good fit. Reach out to me and I’ll answer any questions you have about me, my approach, and how I think therapy or psychological testing can change your life.
